Clarios Brazil honored with 2021 GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award

For the sixth time, Clarios Brazil received the global General Motors (GM) Supplier Quality Excellence Award (SQEA) for its excellent delivery, performance, and quality product in 2021. The award celebrates our efficiency in delivering batteries for GM's Chevrolet brand of vehicles.

For the sixth time, Clarios Brazil received the global General Motors (GM) Supplier Quality Excellence Award (SQEA) for its excellent delivery, performance, and quality product in 2021. The award celebrates our efficiency in delivering batteries for GM's Chevrolet brand of vehicles. 

The GM SQEA is awarded to suppliers in Europe, North America and Asia who have met or exceeded a very stringent set of quality performance criteria, including: 

  • Providing components and/or subsystems within the required metrics 
  • Showing adequate program management 
  • Demonstrating punctual delivery and mitigating production downtime 

Brazil's Sorocaba plant supplies three different batteries for GM and the team met 100 percent of the 11 criteria required by GM to earn this distinction. 

"In this extremely competitive segment, being recognized for a sixth year confirms that Clarios Brazil's high-performing teams continue to exceed customer expectations," said Adriano Stefanini, sales director OE & OES South America. "We are grateful to GM for this recognition and to our cross-functional teams who collaborate to consistently deliver excellence to our customers, from prospecting, development engineering, production and support operations to our after-sales service," added Stefanini. 

According to GM, less than 10 percent of 1,600 global suppliers receive this prestigious award. A big congratulations to everyone who contributed!
