Yes, many of our locations across the US, including our headquarters in Glendale, WI hire interns for the summer. We like to structure our internship program to give college students experience working in one of our battery plants, distribution centers, or one of our many corporate support departments.
Yes, for people who will work in or spend most of their work-life in one of our plant locations, we do drug test pre-hire but do not include marijuana. However, be aware that we have a zero-tolerance policy for coming to work under the influence of drugs or alcohol, which includes marijuana. If there is either an incident or reasonable suspicion that an employee is under the influence, then testing includes both alcohol and marijuana consistent with company policy.
The interviewing process will vary from job to job. When interviewing for a production role, for example, it is very common to tour the location so you can see what the work environment is like. When you interview, you will be able to make a fully informed decision about joining us. It is important to know that we follow safe hiring practices. This means, for example, in the United States we do thorough background checks and drug screens, following all applicable local laws, prior to officially hiring someone. Take this into consideration when applying for a job with us.

Yes! Over 1/3 of all cars on the road today worldwide have Clarios-made batteries in them. Our batteries are sold under leading brand names that you know. You can walk into stores in your town and buy batteries manufactured in Clarios plants. And, brand new cars roll off the assembly lines in factories all over the world including the US with Clarios-made batteries within them. If you are driving a Ford, Honda, GM, Toyota, Nissan or Subaru, there is probably a Clarios battery inside it.
Clarios has a solid future as a global leader in low voltage batteries – because all types of cars need these batteries. It does not matter if the automotive manufacturer is making internal combustion engines or battery electric vehicles, we have a wide range of products to meet all powertrain needs. With nearly 100 million vehicles being produced globally every year and 1.7 billion cars on the road by the end of the decade, there is a large (and continually growing) market that will continue to require our batteries.
