Clarios Receives Master of Quality Award by Daimler Trucks North America

MILWAUKEE, October, 2019 – Clarios, a world leader in advanced energy storage solutions, has been honored with the Master of Quality Supplier Award by Daimler Trucks North America. The company was recognized for its commitment to continuous improvement through excellence in quality, delivery, and technology and cost performance as measured on a balanced scorecard.

“This award is due to the exceptional work by our plant teams in Escobedo, Monterrey DC, and Celaya DC, Mexico,” said John Bania, director of Customer Business Unit, Original Equipment Americas, Clarios. “The quality and delivery performance that earned this award further reinforces to Daimler Trucks North America that their decision to partner with Clarios was the right one.”

The recognition follows the announcement of Clarios and Daimler’s contract extension, a five-year agreement to supply standard and advance batteries to Daimler’s five North American original equipment production plants and more than 500 dealer locations. The agreement is estimated to be worth up to $50 million annually.
