What is The World’s Most Ethical Companies List and Why Does It Matter?

In 2023, Clarios was honored by Ethisphere, a world leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, naming us one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies. This is not an honor that is easy to achieve. In 2023 there were only 135 companies globally, and 8 in the automotive industry, that achieved this honor.

Going through this process was an excellent reinforcement to everyone involved that we succeed when we strive to live our values every day, especially our value “principled,” which means doing the right things in the right ways for our employees, customers, community, and planet. This value is woven throughout every decision we make and every action we take. To earn this honor, companies need to go through a comprehensive assessment across five categories:

• Leadership and reputation
• Ethics and compliance program
• Culture of ethics
• Environmental and societal impact
• Corporate governance.

Achieving this award was only possible because of the commitment of our nearly 16,000 Clarios team members around the world. To recognize that commitment, we took the World’s Most Ethical Companies trophy on tour -- to 24 of our locations around the globe. That way, everyone can feel the pride and take a moment to relish the recognition. 

As someone exploring employment opportunities at Clarios, this all matters. We know that job seekers weigh many elements when making an employment decision, with the reputation of the company near the top of the list.
